Lars-G?ran Moberg, the chairman of the Supervisory Board of DEUTZ AG, has today resigned from his membership of the Supervisory Board of DEUTZ AG for personal reasons effective as of the end of the Company's Annual General Meeting on 29 April this year and announced his intention to step down as Supervisory Board chairman already at the end of the ordinary Su-pervisory Board meeting scheduled for 12 March this year. DEUTZ AG very much regrets this decision and would like to thank Lars-G?ran Moberg for the valuable and successful contribution that he has made as Supervisory Board chairman since 2009.
Mr Moberg became chairman of DEUTZ's Supervisory Board on 18 May 2009 and, during his tenure as chairman, worked closely with both the Su-pervisory Board and DEUTZ's Board of Management in order to restructure the Company following the global financial crisis of 2008/2009, revise its product range and continue to develop the Company operationally and stra-tegically.
It is expected that Hans-Georg H?rter – a member of DEUTZ's Supervisory Board since 30 April 2013 – will be proposed to succeed him and to be elect-ed as Supervisory Board chairman. Mr H?rter is a widely respected busi-nessman and entrepreneur. Among the many posts he has held in his career, Mr H?rter – born in Bensheim in Germany – was chief executive officer of ZF Friedrichshafen AG from 2007 to 2012 and therefore possesses extensive experience of this industry.
